POSITION PURPOSE Reporting to the Annual Giving Officer, the Annual Giving Intern will gain hands-on experience in a variety of development functions including Riley Society renewals, creating cultivation touchpoints, and Annual Giving-focused special projects. The Annual Giving Intern will also have the opportunity to learn about development best practices and develop their skills in this area.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Interning at Riley Children's Foundation offers a first-hand glimpse of how the Foundation ensures that children have access to exceptional healthcare by funding pediatric research, education and care. We at Riley Children's Foundation raise funds statewide and steward assets for the kids. 1. Riley Society Projects * Assist Individual Philanthropy Specialist with quarterly Riley Society touchpoints * Personalized notes to unassigned donors on asks and stewardship pieces (handwritten acknowledgement letters) * Thank You calls to donors who are unassigned that hit a certain giving threshold * In-collaboration with Annual Giving Coordinator, lead end of year renewal call efforts for the foundation   2. Annual Giving Team Collaboration * Curate touchpoints for the team to use for qualification and during the 3 to 4 qualification drives throughout the year * Execute list pulls for gift officers for qualification drives and other communication efforts * Run matching gift project for donors who can hit certain giving levels * Building out moves management tasks for donors in portfolios and assist with administrative needs for mass contact reports and disqualification * Collaboration with Director, Annual Giving & Grateful Families on projects as needed   3. RCF Representative  * Assist with the creation of Riley wagons for donors and attending the wagon releases  * Shadow donor visits as time allows * Collaborate on Direct Mail calls throughout the year and manage internal tasks to stay on track   4. Other Duties as Assigned * Riley Children’s Foundation Events: Participate in Riley Children’s Foundation events as requested. * Assist in Annual Giving special projects as needed * Other duties as assigned. The intern may be assigned projects across the broader Riley Children’s Foundation team. The People Operations Manager will identify additional projects and shadowing opportunities aligned with the intern’s professional interests. Throughout the internship, the People Operations Manager will guide the intern through professional and career development activities to support a well-rounded understanding of the organization. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Preferred Majors:  * Non-Profit Management, Philanthropy, Business, Communications, or similar majors would find this internship beneficial to their career goals and would most likely possess the skills needed to perform assigned projects and tasks. * Technical Skills Needed:  * Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Salesforce platform experience is a plus. * Professional Skills Needed:  * Ability to appropriately and professionally represent RCF to donors, physicians, and staff in person, on the phone, virtually, and in writing. Interest in non-profit or development career is a plus but not required. Excellent project management skills. Eagerness to learn. Discretion in working with confidential information. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with time management skills. Ability to succeed in a remote work setting as needed. Personal belief in Riley Children’s Foundation vision, mission, and core values.  
Responsibilities
