MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services or related field along with 3 years of related industrial or teaching experience.
• Certificate to teach an EMS training program and continuing education program, issued in accordance with section 4765.23 of the Ohio revised code and rule 4765-18-05 of the Administrative Code.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Medical Services, or related field.
• 2 – 4 years of teaching experience in an academic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Deliver learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement as well as effectively planning and preparing for classes and student success.
• Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons.
• Ensure that students achieve course and learning outcomes as defined by the program chair.
• Complete, as directed, all start and end of semester responsibilities, including submission no-show rosters, final grades and other designated materials to the Academic Office.
• Maintain office hours to answer student questions and handle course related matters.
• Respond to requests (e.g., from students, academia area chairs, department heads, committee chairs, Records office) in a timely and thorough manner.
• Support College and Division outreach and recruiting events
• Some evening or weekend hours may be required.
