Description Summary | Objective The Production Technician for Tooling creates and sets up racking tools for a variety of organizational manufacturing needs in a safe and organized manner. Key Accountabilities | RESULTS EXPECTED TO ACHIEVE Meet or exceed organizational goals for safety, quality, cost and delivery Meet or exceed expectations regarding the organization’s attendance policy Maintain racks in the anodize department Ensure adequate inventory of supplies is available Key Responsibilities | TASKS YOU DO TO ACHIEVE THE ACCOUNTABILTIES Work with manager to determine racking maintenance priorities Observe quality of tooling, racks, clips, and bolts for wear or contact issues Develop effective and efficient tooling solutions Use creative thinking to build better, more efficient racks to complete a job or increase parts per load/racking speed Read, understand, and follow existing process instructions Document the tooling step on process cards Ensure all tooling is organized with part numbers and pictures if needed Clean work bars as scheduled and properly track bar number and date of maintenance Maintain tooling inventory to ensure necessary supplies are available Turn in the order sheet to the anodize manager each week Notify manager of immediate issues that need to be addressed Maintain a clean and organized work environment by putting all tools and supplies where they belong Complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner Other duties as assigned Must have basic understanding of working with hand tools and a saw Must be able to work 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Requirements Qualities for Success Demonstrates Arrow Finishing Core Values High school diploma or GED equivalent Must be a Citizen of the United States of America or have a current Green Card General knowledge of anodize terminology Strong knowledge of racking material electrical current carrying capacity Must have great mechanical skills and attention to detail General computer skills and the ability to work with basic computer programs Ability to balance workload effectively and stay organized Ability to read and understand processes, procedures, and instructions Ability to work and collaborate with others respectfully and professionally Ability to be dependable and punctual, work overtime as needed Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently Physical Requirements Lift up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 30 lbs. on occasion Ability to use hands and arms requiring fine dexterity and precision through workday Regularly required to talk and hear Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending for 8 hours as the position requires Ability to withstand occasional odors The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment This position location is on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
