Description
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking an Anti-Human Trafficking Support Specialist in our Human Trafficking Initiative (HTI) within our Crime Victim Services Section. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about supporting survivors of human trafficking. This position is field-based and requires travel around the state and a flexible work schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. This position can be headquartered in our Columbus office or our regional office locations of Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo or Boardman. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to: · Plans, implements, and evaluates the education and outreach efforts of the Human Trafficking Initiative. · Provides evidence-based, trauma-informed training on human trafficking to relevant stakeholder groups throughout Ohio. · Reviews, edits, and maintains updated training materials. · Works in conjunction with Ambassador Advisory Council members to incorporate lived experience expertise into training and outreach materials. · Ensures key stakeholders and community members are informed about human trafficking, the work of the Ohio Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Initiative, and statewide resources for survivors and professionals. · Represents the Human Trafficking Initiative at relevant meetings, outreach events, trainings, and subcommittee meetings. · Collects and maintains accurate records of outreach activities and program outcomes. · Aids in planning and executing the annual Human Trafficking Summit. · Assists with research, analysis, evaluation, administration, and coordination of statewide anti-human trafficking efforts and projects within the Human Trafficking Initiative and Human Trafficking Commission. · Conducts research and literature reviews on trends, emerging issues, and best practices in anti-human trafficking work. · Develops and maintains positive working relationships with stakeholders, including anti-human trafficking coalitions and task forces, survivors, law enforcement, victim service providers, healthcare professionals, and community members. · Assists in developing and strengthening the statewide coordinated response to human trafficking in collaboration with national, state, and local partners. · Performs other duties as assigned. Completion of an associate core program in social services (e.g. criminology, sociology, psychology) or a related field and 2 years' experience in anti-human trafficking initiatives.
