As we grow, we are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer / Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to strengthen our compliance framework and support the API license upgrade.
This key role works closely with our compliance team and senior management to ensure the highest regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or similar.
  • Proven experience in general compliance is a must (experience only in client onboarding will not be considered).
  • Experience liaising with regulators on approvals or changes.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK AML/CTF rules.
  • Strong background in researching regulatory changes and creating policies.
  • Experience in AML risk assessments, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, and SARs.
  • Familiarity with the FCA and NCA.
  • Professional certifications (ACAMS, ICA, CISI or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Compliance Officer / MLRO will manage AML/CTF compliance, oversee regulatory engagement, and contribute to wider compliance matters. You will play a central role in the API license upgrade and work with the FCA, HMRC, and other authorities.
Please note: Proven, hands-on compliance experience is essential. Applications without relevant experience will not be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • AML/CTF Policy Management: Maintain policies, procedures, and controls in line with UK regulations.
  • Risk Assessments: Identify and mitigate AML/CTF risks.
  • Transaction Monitoring & Due Diligence: Manage CDD and EDD processes.
  • Suspicious Activity Reporting: Submit SARs to the NCA.
  • General Compliance Duties: Keep all compliance policies up to date.
  • Regulatory Applications: Support API license upgrade and other approvals.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Liaise with regulators and represent the company.
  • Training & Awareness: Provide internal compliance training.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Carry out checks and report findings.
  • Collaboration: Work within a team to promote compliance culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with regulatory changes.
