Description
Deliver expert technical guidance and support across a portfolio of advanced weapon systems, sensor technologies, and high-performance computing programs. Lead and provide critical technical assessments during the design, development, testing, fielding, and sustainment of next-generation Anti-Tamper (AT) technologies. Partner daily with Air Force program managers, engineers, and industry subject matter experts to support strategic planning, technical risk assessments, and engineering trade studies. Support the full systems engineering process — from requirements definition and evaluation through test, integration, and verification. Provide engineering expertise for technology and product acquisitions, including long-range planning, RFP development, and technical oversight of contractor deliverables. Evaluate system and subsystem designs to ensure compliance with performance requirements, mission objectives, and protection of Critical Program Information (CPI). Identify, assess, and recommend innovative design solutions and technologies to enhance CPI protection and mitigate vulnerabilities to exploitation and reverse engineering. Conduct technical evaluations of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components to determine susceptibility to reverse engineering, hardware tampering, and system compromise. 15+ years of related experience. Strong understanding of microelectronics design and fabrication processes, including vulnerability analysis and protective design principles. Working knowledge of Security State-of-the-Art (S-SOTA) technologies and their integration into DoD systems. Experience with system-level cryptographic implementation, encryption key management, and secure data protection techniques. Proven ability to evaluate, implement, and test system security countermeasures to mitigate hardware and software exploitation risks. Knowledge of Anti-Tamper architecture design, ensuring system resilience and protection across the acquisition lifecycle. Experience in performing Threat Countermeasure Tree Analysis to identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities. Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams within classified or SAP/SCI environments. Familiarity with DoD 5200.39, DoDI 5200.44, and related Anti-Tamper and CPI protection policies. Experience with hardware reverse engineering, FPGA/ASIC design, or embedded systems security. Experience developing, reviewing, and validating Anti-Tamper (AT) Plans and Verification & Validation (V&V) Plans aligned with DoD AT policies and standards. Working knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Framework, including requirements development, milestone decision processes, and technical baseline management. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to senior government leadership. 15+ years of relevant engineering experience supporting Department of Defense programs within classified or SAP/SCI environments. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline. DESIRED Must have a current TS/SCI clearance and be eligible for special program access
