Are you seeking a role that offers personal growth, visibility, and the opportunity to work closely with senior decision-makers? Whether you’re early in your journey or looking to expand your expertise, the Commission Registry team at the CNSC provides a unique environment to contribute to meaningful regulatory work and tribunal modernization.
At the REG5 level, you will gain broad organizational insight and play a key role in supporting the Commission and its evolving agenda. This includes engaging with high-profile licensing applications and a variety of Commission meeting items. You’ll draft records of decision and meeting minutes following public hearings and meetings. You’ll contribute to tribunal modernization initiatives while working directly with the President, Commission Members, and the executive team. Your strong technical writing skills and attention to detail will be vital in producing materials for diverse audiences. You’re known for your professionalism, discretion, and collaborative spirit, and you bring a solid understanding of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and the CNSC’s mandate.
At the REG6 level, your role expands to include more complex and technical responsibilities. You’ll research and analyze administrative law, regulatory instruments, scientific topics, and current issues to support Commission Members in their decision-making. You’ll provide technical advice to CNSC staff on regulatory documents and processes. You thrive on solving problems, ensuring procedural integrity, and contributing to the smooth operation of Commission proceedings—including through active participation in dry runs and strategic planning sessions.
Both levels offer the opportunity to be at the heart of regulatory decision-making, where your work has real impact, and where being part of a high-performing, collegial team is a daily reality.
