As the Financial Accountant, you will be a core member of the financial reporting team, driving month-end closing processes to safeguard the company's financials. This role is based in Sydney and reports to the ANZ Accounting Lead. You will… Play a critical role in month-end close procedures, including preparing journals and completing balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain monthly reconciliations and collaborate across finance and non-finance functions to resolve discrepancies. Perform weekly bank reconciliations to ensure the company’s cash position is accurately recorded and investigated. Manage capital expenditure and maintenance for all fixed assets across ANZ offices and distribution centres. Execute monthly intercompany recharges between ANZ entities and Head Office in compliance with Transfer Pricing policies. Recommend ways to improve efficiency within the month-end close and day-to-day finance operations. Assist with half-year and year-end audit processes, providing support for financial statement preparation and auditor queries. You have… A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and are a Part Qualified CPA/CA. Working knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and statutory reporting standards. Previous experience working within a fast-paced business environment. Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience managing large data sets.
