Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a ANZ Group Tax Manager to join our Finance team at our Australian Headquarters location at Perth Airport as SGS embarks on its growth path in supporting the Global SGS 2027 Strategy – Accelerating growth, building trust. Reporting to our General Manager Finance (CFO), you will be responsible for managing all direct and indirect tax compliance, international tax and advisory for our Australian, PNG and New Zealand businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Working with our finance team and external advisors to ensure the timely completion and lodgement of all direct, indirect and international tax compliance obligations.
  • Working with SGS Group Tax and external advisors to prepare all required Transfer Pricing documentation and compliance.
  • Actively leading taxation reviews and compliance on all Mergers and Acquisition activities, determining expert advice required from external support.
  • Responsible for tax effect accounting and reporting for the SGS Australia group.
  • Providing tax advice and support to the business and functions on a variety of transactions, projects, structuring and contract reviews.
  • Overseeing tax governance and risk management and implementation of SGS Group Tax policies.
  • Supporting in ATO representations and engagements.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and provide ongoing training to the broader finance team and internal stakeholders.
    Qualifications

About you:

  • CA / CPA with 8 to 10 years of corporate and international tax experience gained through working in practice or industry/commerce.
  • Deep knowledge of tax rules and reporting obligations for both direct and indirect tax laws.
  • Commitment to maintaining and advancing technical knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a team-oriented environment, working collaboratively with cross-functional departments leading with a positive, motivating, and encouraging attitude.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously, manage and influence.
  • Solid exposure and experience in compliance requirements for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office products.
