One-off opportunity Saturday, 25th of April 2026 Location: Canberra War Memorial Information Tent Morning Shift: 8:00am to 10:00am The Program Volunteers support our Returned and Services personnel and their families through the provision of a free refreshment service available at the War Memorial in Canberra before the commencement of the Anzac Day commemoration marches. The Opportunity There is an opportunity to support and talk with members of our Returned and Services personnel and their families as Anzac biscuits are served at the commencement of the Anzac Day commemoration marches at the War Memorial. Hand out Anzac biscuits to attendees of the Veteran’s march. Act as a representative for Red Cross What do I need to bring? Wear closed-in, comfortable shoes Wear comfortable clothing (keep in mind it may get dirty) Personal sun protective gear (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) Own dietary-specific snacks if required We recommend bringing a water bottle to limit single-use plastic. Gloves and hand sanitiser will be provided, or you can bring your own. The Impact Red Cross is able to provide free Anzac biscuits to the attendees of the Veteran’s march on Anzac Day. This provides an opportunity to contribute to Anzac Day and experience the atmosphere on this important day.
