The Opportunity As a Customer Sales Enablement Specialist, you will support go-to-market initiatives and sales execution as a subject matter expert of Construction & Quarry Haulers, including Small Off-Highway Trucks, Articulated Trucks and Wheel Tractor-Scrapers as well as Large Wheel Loaders. You’ll work directly with Caterpillar Sales Reps, Account Managers, Dealers and End Use Customers to deliver Value Selling, Training and Product Expertise related to these products. You’ll have a variety of experiences ranging from travelling throughout Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Japan to visit our Dealers & Customers where they work and understand their challenges. You’ll serve as the Window for your Region to our Research and Development teams providing action oriented “Voice of the Customer” to shape the future of our product functional requirements. You’ll work as part of a Global Team helping to shape the future of the world. What You Will Do Providing product application expertise at point of sale, or by delivering various types of product training including applied technology, job efficiency, and safety to customers, company and dealers' sales personnel. Conduct product performance studies, competitive benchmarking, assess customer job sites efficiency, collecting product and customer requirements in order to create input for product improvement process and new product introduction programs. Support site level process mapping, develop and deliver modernized sales enablement for Caterpillar products and solutions. Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations. Level Extensive Experience: • Understands & advocates for the target market and how the product and services are sold and delivered. • Summarizes key features of major products or services in own unit. • Has working understanding of complementary loading tools and support equipment working with Haulers Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Level Working Knowledge: • Recognizes, clarifies, and prioritizes concerns associated with products for advanced R&D or product problem resolution • Assists in assessing risks, benefits and consideration of alternatives. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Level Working Knowledge: • Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness. • Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work. Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Level Extensive Experience: • Engages appropriate engineering resources to effectively resolve technical issues as they arise within their Region of coverage. • Evaluates job site & job site conditions to develop technical analysis that supports conclusions for Cost per Ton & Cost per Hour recommendation to help Customers maximize their Return on Investment. • Provides guidance & support to Dealers & Customers to select the right Hauler for their project / job / site Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. Level Extensive Experience: • Coaches others on the application of 'value selling' principles and practices. • Delivers value-added services to customers beyond delivery of a purchased product, technology or service consistently. • Solicits feedback from the customer community as a valued service provider. • Teaches and coaches 'value selling' to others within the organization.
