ReOrbit is looking for a motivated and experienced AOCS Engineer to join our growing team in our Helsinki HQ>
As our new AOCS Engineer you will be responsible for leading the development and AIT processes for AOCS components for our spacecraft.
It’s an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a real impact, to reach our goal of pushing the boundaries of space data transfer.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing, operating, and troubleshooting AOCS equipment.
  • Solid understanding of astrodynamics and key principles of attitude determination and control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Python, Git, C, and MATLAB.
  • Optionally, hands-on experience with electronic laboratory equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development, execution, and maintenance of AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) procedures for AOCS components.
  • Assist in defining, implementing, and maintaining operational procedures related to AOCS.
  • Train AIT and satellite operators on AOCS procedures and provide technical support, including on-call duties.
  • Lead or support AOCS anomaly investigations, collaborating with engineers from various disciplines.
  • Perform market research on AOCS components and oversee the integration of new components into satellites, following established protocols.
  • Drive the introduction of new AOCS equipment and implement design updates.
  • Collaborate with team members for cross functionalities between systems
