Job Details Job Location: Chicago, IL - KINSTON, NC Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: Undisclosed Travel Percentage: Road Warrior Job Shift: Any Description Position Summary: We are seeking experienced and driven AOG Mechanics to join our Mobile Service Unit (MSU) team. In this high-impact role, you will respond to aircraft-on-ground (AOG) events, delivering rapid, on-site maintenance services to external customers across a variety of business and corporate aviation platforms. This is a 8-on / 6-off rotational position, offering a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to make a direct impact on operational uptime. You’ll provide service across aircraft types including Gulfstream, Bombardier, Cessna, King Air, Embraer, and more. Rapidly deploy to AOG events and perform high-quality maintenance in the field Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies efficiently and in compliance with FAA and OEM requirements Communicate directly with external customers to manage expectations, scope of work, and completion timelines Accurately document all maintenance performed using internal systems Maintain readiness of assigned AOG vehicle, tools, and inventory Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service on-site Ensure all actions are performed with safety and regulatory compliance at the forefront. Qualifications Required education and experience Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate Minimum 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with recent AOG or field service experience strongly preferred Proficiency with one or more platforms: Gulfstream (GIV–G700) Bombardier (Challenger, Global) Cessna Citation series King Air 90/200/350 Embraer Phenom or Legacy Valid driver's license and ability to travel on short notice Capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in challenging physical environments Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification. Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position. Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Ongoing employment requires participating and complying with the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program which includes random testing.
