JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized Accounts Payable Clerk who will join the accounting team at Control Systems Integrators. This position is critical for the company as it ensures that all accounts payable transactions are processed effectively, contributing to cash flow and the financial health of the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the service sector.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software tools and ERP management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations related to accounts payable.
Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices, validating their compliance with tax regulations in accordance with current laws (CFDI, correct use of taxes, RFC, etc.), and ensuring they match requisitions, purchased orders, or agreed contracts.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system or ERP (NetSuite), ensuring they are assigned to the appropriate project, department, or classification.
  • Record corresponding taxes (recoverable VAT, withheld Income Tax, etc.) and applicable withholdings.
  • Make timely payments to vendors in accordance with agreed terms, maintaining good relationships with them.
  • Request reissues or corrections of invoices in case of mistakes.
  • Collaborate in account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring quick problem resolution.
  • Work with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate closing of financial periods.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and associated accounts payable files both digitally and physically.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable and cash flow.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to accounts payable processes.
  • Comply with all applicable tax regulations and laws in Mexico.
