We’re currently seeking a dependable and qualified APA Pharmacist to join our team full-time and play a key role in expanding patient care offerings.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a dedicated and patient-focused APA Pharmacist to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be passionate about clinical services and accessible healthcare. In this role, you will utilize your additional prescribing authority to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, support medication therapy management, and work collaboratively with both patients and healthcare providers to optimize outcomes. Candidates must be available to work some evenings and weekends as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP)
  • APA (Additional Prescribing Authorization) designation is required
  • Authorization to administer injections in Alberta
  • Proven ability to build strong patient relationships and deliver clinical services
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, community setting
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends is required
Responsibilities
  • Provide prescription services with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient education
  • Utilize Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) to assess and manage minor ailments, renew prescriptions, and initiate therapy as appropriate
  • Administer injections and vaccines in accordance with Alberta guidelines
  • Offer medication reviews, chronic disease management support, and health consultations
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity and quality of patient care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with ACP standards
  • Support daily operations of the pharmacy, including supervision of staff when needed
