Description:

The role will be the direct Finance partner to the APAC Distribution Senior Director and Distribution leadership team supporting the Logistics organization with strategic decision making. Responsible for the preparation of long range plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, analyzing actual results, and supporting management decision-making across eight warehouses (some 3PLs), managing opex ~ $40m. This person is responsible for supporting the Asia Pacific region and will partner with multiple cross functional teams, across the company, to report and analyze distribution and packaging cost, inventory, developing & delivering presentations to management. The position is based out of our Singapore office.
The role reports directly to the Regional FP&A Manager, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Senior Director for APAC Distribution and Senior Director for Distribution Finance.
This role will be a key hands-on role in directing and managing the Asia Pacific Distribution and Packaging financial analytics, forecasting our financial and operational performance and assessing the financial implications of regional operational initiatives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong business partnering
  • Experience of Distribution Operations and 3PL organisations
  • Ability to create, assess and present business cases to support regional initiatives
  • Develop and maintain Long range strategic plans (LRSPs)
  • Direct, hands-on experience in creating, tracking and controlling actual, forecasts and budget metrics.
  • Proven ability to analyze actual vs. plan results and summarize underlying drivers of variances as well as providing clear and succinct interpretation of results to management.
  • Broad technical accounting expertise, preferable good working knowledge of US GAAP & SOX
  • Ability to participate in multi-cultural, multi-linguistic operating environment
  • Ability to work across several APAC markets and manage deadline driven tasks
  • Strong communication and influential skills
  • Ability to present to senior leadership/executive level
  • Teamplayer

EXPERIENCE:

  • An APAC subsidiary of a US multi-national, with responsibility for logistics/operations finance functions
  • Matrix style organization
  • ERP system, Hyperion, Microsoft tools.
  • 5+ years experience

EDUCATION:

  • Qualified Accountant or University Degree in Finance
  • Direct Business Partner to the Senior Director of Distribution providing guidance and support to strategic initiatives.
  • An active member of the APAC Logistics team, the Global Distribution Finance team and the Regional Finance team
  • Collaborator with commercial markets to understand cost to serve and help drive potential distribution Opex opportunities
  • Lead ad-hoc special strategic projects that support management decision-making.
  • Lead and deliver insightful information on a consistent and standardized basis to enhance management decision making.
  • Responsible for co- ordinating the annual budget process and quarterly forecast preparation for packaging and distribution across all APAC sites, in accordance with CV timelines.
  • Drive consistent reports and analysis of financial results to support both the timely and accurate monthly close process and functional management reviews.
  • Responsible for the fixed assets and capital investment within operations to ensure accurate asset reporting in accordance with policy.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving inventory across multiple locations including silver stock & finished goods
