The Position The Opportunity: This role seeks an experienced, licensed legal professional with a minimum of five years in Pharma or MedTech to serve as an APAC Legal Counsel, responsible for managing all regional legal matters. The position requires providing comprehensive corporate and commercial legal advice, including expertise in regulatory compliance, data privacy, IP, and employment law, while also managing external counsel, coordinating regional legal training, and actively contributing to the APAC legal network. Crucially, the ideal candidate must blend legal acumen with strong emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and experience in agile methodologies and leveraging technology to thrive in a complex, VUCA environment. As the APAC Legal Counsel, you're responsible for: Supports all legal business matters pertaining to the APAC region, Provides a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients and APAC Legal community, Acts as an advisor on legal issues involving the organization’s government and regulatory compliance Reviews legal data and advises organizations on appropriate legal action to be taken, Coordinates and monitors the legal matters handled by outside counsels and ensures the legal panel is updated based on the needs of the regional organization, Advises and supports on general corporate and commercial matters, including corporate governance and organization, drafting transactional documents, digital product license terms and conditions, commercial law, employment law, intellectual property and digital law, data privacy, competition law, contract management and dispute resolution, Active contribution to APAC Legal Network and CoPs, Coordinates the required legal trainings for the APAC region and affiliate employees Who You Are: Requires a law degree and license to practice law, Minimum 5 years of experience preferably in a Pharma and/or MedTech Company with a proven track record, Experience in agile ways of working and methodologies Co-active coaching fundamentals or similar certification Savvy in leveraging technology to enable virtual teams Strong emotional intelligence. Responsibilities
