About you and this role As an APAC Tax Business Process Expert (BPX)/ Senior Accounting Specialist based in Navi Mumbai (IND). You will be accountable to ensure the tax work process requirements are met in the system designs by building, testing, and implementing the appropriate solutions. Tax processes primarily leverage Thomson Reuters OneSource and SAP. Key Responsibilities: Understand tax work processes that trigger Indirect tax determination, like Purchasing, Planning and Order to Cash. Understand the geography laws for respective countries for which you are accountable Proficient in the technical landscape, being ECC, Reporting, Thomson Reuters Indirect Tax determination, and compliance. Perform Work process support by resolving production support issues and end user questions Provide Technical resolution support if should issues arise: Being able to perform root cause analyses cross functionally, meaning that if a sales invoice or a vendor invoice has different taxation, the BPX/SME can determine why there is a difference. Assist DSS IT once problem resolutions are available with testing scenarios to ensure correct tax determination is accurate for all changes/defects. For complex system solutions, the BPX/SME will work with the global IT teams to create the functional designs and act as the local expert for the global IT team. Facilitate education for new team members in PTP, OTC, Planning and Finance in respect to Indirect Tax. Participate in M&A or divestiture projects to provide Tax work process perspective. Responsible for work process and system documentation for the areas tax processes. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or taxation. Should have significant experience working in and with SAP ECC. Knowledge of indirect tax engines a plus (OneSource or Vertex) Your Skills: Problem solving skills Interpersonal Excellent communications skills. Strong Analytical skills Eye for Details Additional notes: Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
