Description

Our client has an opportunity for a Apache Mechanical Technicians to join them on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation, providing class leading support in rotary wing engineering support.
Role: Apache Mechanical Technician
Location: Middle Wallop, United Kingdom
Shifts: Full-Time, Days, Mon - Thurs (37.5 hrs) overtime available.
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: Full SC clearance is required
Hourly Rate: £38ph (plus £3ph all hours worked loyalty bonus paid after 6 months)
Contract Position: initial 6 Months
Successful candidates will conduct the assembly, disassembly, and modification or repair of Apache rotary aircraft primary structures and complex aircraft systems to include hydraulics, flight controls, and propulsion. You will also perform maintenance activities, fault diagnosis and disturbed system functional tests.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ideally you will have extensive experience working on Apache aircraft and be familiar with Boeing specifications and drawings while working within a team of aircraft technicians.
  • Vocational based trade training is essential.Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision with limited direction.

  • To be successful in your application it is a requirement that you hold UK ‘right to work’ at the time of application.

Responsibilities
  • Perform the assembly, disassembly, and modification of systems by conducting the change, removal, replacement, or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Conducts assembly, disassembly, or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and associated electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Validates and verifies testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results applicable modifications and inspection results)
  • Can work with their peers to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking towing system operations)
