Our Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers project, programme, and commercial management, as well as strategic advisory services across sectors including Built Environment, Defence, Energy, Water, Transport, Education, and Health. Apprentices are an important part of how we deliver for our clients, of our talent pipeline and demonstrates the social value of our work
We’re seeking a RICS-qualified Apprentice Manager to lead the development of our apprentices in Quantity Surveying (QS), Project Management (PM), and Business Administration. This senior role is key to ensuring apprentices achieve their end point assessment and thrive professionally.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Apprentice Oversight & Guidance
  • Support apprentices through each stage of their apprenticeship programme, monitor competencies, diaries and progress, and provide expert advice in QS and PM disciplines. Establish and support the APD Apprentices network
  • Rotation Coordination
  • Plan and manage apprentice rotations across APD portfolios, liaising with stakeholders to ensure a well-rounded training experience that gives apprentices the right experience to complete their apprenticeship
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with people managers and RICS counsellors to support apprentices’ development and wellbeing, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution. This includes identifying and supporting suitable RICS counsellors
  • Training & Development
  • Design and deliver tailored training initiatives, workshops, and seminars aligned with industry standards and best practices
  • Performance Monitoring
  • Track apprentice performance, conduct regular scheduled reviews, and report progress to senior management
  • Quality Assurance
  • Liaise with training providers to ensure programmes meet internal needs and external standards (RICS, APM), maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry guidelines
