Key Responsibilities & Summarized KRAs Delighting Customers & Growing Our Business Precision Execution: Design and execute manual test cases for RESTful/SOAP APIs, ensuring every endpoint meets the highest standards of functional integrity. Strategic Validation: Verify API responses, HTTP status codes, and JSON/XML data structures to ensure the backend is robust and reliable. Global Partnership: Act as a key point of contact for the Lead QA, ensuring Pointwest’s reputation for excellence is upheld in every sprint. Improving the Way We Work Defect Management: Take full ownership of the bug life cycle using JIRA and qTest, providing detailed documentation that helps developers resolve issues faster. Data Integrity: Use your SQL expertise to perform deep-dive backend validation, ensuring data remains consistent across complex system integrations. Agile Collaboration: Participate in stand-ups and retrospectives, using tools like Splunk to analyze system behavior and support root cause analysis. Developing Yourself and Others Path to Automation: Leverage this role to bridge the gap between manual and automated testing. Qualifications Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in Manual Functional Testing, with a heavy focus on API Testing. Technical Toolkit: Expert-level familiarity with Postman, SoapUI, or Insomnia. Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL for backend data validation. Platform Knowledge: Strong experience with JIRA and qTest (or similar tools like Octane). The "Plus" Factor: Experience or training in TOSCA automation is a significant advantage.
