PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Designer/Junior Designer on apparel.
  • Strong knowledge & understanding of current mens/womens street, casualwear & denim trends.
  • Understanding of different categories production techniques & process’
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
  • Excellent attention to detail and creative thinking
  • Self-motivated & team orientated.
  • Strong communication & organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Kickers Apparel Designer
Multi product - Denim, Jersey, Woven & Knitwear.
Working across Mens & Womenswear
FULL TIME – 5 days a week, Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm.
Based in Shoreditch office – Option of 1-2 days remote working.
Working directly with Head of design to create on brand and commercial collections each season.

Researching seasonal trends and responding to sales data to advise design and development of collections.

  • Responsive seasonal trend research to compliment seasonal concepts lead by Head of Design.
  • Working with suppliers to source/develop new and exciting trims, swatches and techniques prior to design season.
  • Creating CAD based designs.
  • Responding to feedback, developing and amending designs to balance range and/or to meet pricing requirements.
  • Working with license owner to achieve product that reflects brand identity and follows brand guidelines.
  • Working with customers/stockists to create SMU’s.
  • Responsible for creating, amending & filing factory ready technical packs for proto development.
  • Frequent communication and information sharing with the technical team to relay key information per garment/style.
  • Ensuring style tracker is up to date with all relevant style information.
  • Attending fit sessions and advising on design specifics.
  • Manage design standards across Kickers Apparel product to keep consistency across categories and seasons.
