Description

APPAREL DESIGNER

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Designer to support the development of women’s performance apparel. This role requires a collaborative team player with strong design sensibilities, exceptional presentation skills, and a keen understanding of the female consumer. The ideal candidate brings experience designing within a corporate environment and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Apparel Designer Responsibilities

  • Design innovative, consumer-led women’s apparel with a focus on performance and modern aesthetics.
  • Collaborate closely with product creation partners, including materials, development, tech design, and sourcing teams, to ensure alignment from concept through execution.
  • Translate seasonal creative direction into design concepts that reflect market trends and consumer insights.
  • Prepare clear, compelling presentation materials and communicate design intent to both creative and business stakeholders.
  • Manage design files and digital assets using organizational tools and cloud-based systems.
  • Support prototype development and sample reviews in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and timeliness.

Apparel Designer Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in product or apparel design, ideally within a large corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and strong digital design skills; familiarity with 3D tools such as CLO is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design rationale and receive feedback constructively.
  • Strong organizational habits and experience with shared file systems (e.g., Box).
  • Understanding of women’s fashion and performance apparel, with sensitivity to trends, fit, and aesthetics from a female consumer perspective.

Compensation: Up to $62/hr. (DOE)
