JOB SUMMARY
Roopa Knitting Mills is a leading supplier of premium quality knit fabrics and apparel.
We produce fabric and garments for some of the leading brands in fashion. We are looking to add some dynamic individuals to our team to help meet the growing demand and be able to not only provide excellent service to our existing clients, but also take on new customers.
The role of apparel production coordinator can be viewed as an account manager role. The experienced candidate would be responsible for their the garment production of their own accounts as well as assist on those of others where necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
1) Minimum 3 years in garment production.
2) College or University level degree in fashion design/business/production/technology.
3) Understanding of knit fabrics and garment construction.
4) Sound knowledge of sewing procedures, seams as well as embroidery and printing methods.
5) Excellent knowledge of garment sizing and grade rules.
6) Proficient in Windows programs (Google Sheets/Excel, etc.).
7) Strong communication skills (verbal and written) - providing full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and ensuring accurate information transfer.
8) Advanced judgement and decision making skills - considering the relative costs and benefits to potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
9) Strong organizational skills with the ability to work alone and with a team.
10) Detail oriented.
11) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

1) Review customer tech packs and designs.
2) Discuss any questions/concerns with client to understand their requirements/specs/grading/construction.
3) Relay information to pattern maker/product developer to create patterns and samples.
4) Discuss with suppliers regarding embellishments required by the client and procure strike off samples for client approval.
5) Review samples, size specs and construction before submitting to client for approval.
6) Calculate fabric yields (consumption) and garment costs for review with manager.
7) Once approved, order fabrics, trims, book factory times and plan production within parameters required by customer for on time delivery.
8) Relay all information regarding production (including purchase orders and instructions) to all factories including cutting, sewing, printing and embroidery and ensure they are all coordinated.
9) Visit factories mid-production to perform quality control checks and make sure production is on time and on spec.
10) Receive final product into warehouse and create packing slips and shipping documents.
11) Coordinate shipping to customer.
