Description

We are looking for a dedicated and talented attorney to join our Appellate-practice team in Seattle. This role offers the chance to work on high-stakes legal matters, providing well-reasoned advocacy and contributing to a team renowned for its excellence in appellate litigation. Ideal candidates will possess a keen eye for detail, superior analytical abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional legal representation.

Responsibilities
  • Draft compelling and well-structured legal briefs, motions, and other court filings.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to uncover precedents, analyze statutes, and address complex legal questions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and refine case strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Serve as embedded appellate counsel during trials, preparing detailed trial reports and offering appellate-focused guidance.
  • Present oral arguments in both trial and appellate courts, contingent on experience.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all written and procedural work.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and court personnel to foster effective communication and collaboration.
  • Take initiative in managing case deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Stay current on legal developments and appellate rules to provide informed counsel.
  • Contribute to a team-oriented environment that values growth and mutual support.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar with active and good standing status.
  • Prior experience in appellate or federal district court clerkship.
  • Two to four years of civil litigation experience.
  • Exceptional skills in legal research, writing, and analysis.
