This IT role focuses on delivering and managing end-user technology solutions, including devices, operating systems, and applications. You’ll be a key player in keeping everything running smoothly for employees, using tools like VMware Horizon and Workspace ONE to provide virtual desktops, manage devices, and deploy software. A deep understanding of Windows and application management is essential, along with strong troubleshooting skills. Basically, you’ll be the go-to person for ensuring employees have the technology they need to do their jobs effectively.
This position requires a solid technical foundation and offers the chance to work with a range of technologies. You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of technology solutions, from planning and implementation to ongoing maintenance. While you’ll have responsibility for day-to-day operations, there’s also room to contribute to larger projects and develop your skills further with the support of senior team members.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:

  • Workspace One Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), Workspace One Intelligence) Experience
  • Experience with other End User Computing Management technologies (such as Microsoft Endpoint, Configuration manager, PDQ
  • Inventory/Deploy, Jamf/InTune) is an asset
  • Deep knowledge of the common operating systems (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iOS), and the enterprise level management of these operating systems
  • Proficiency with Google G Suite productivity tools
  • Knowledge and experience with the following:
  • ITIL processes
  • Scripting (Powershell) and automation tools
  • Training in one or more End User Computing Management technologies
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
  • Vmware Workspace One
  • PDQ Inventory/Deploy

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related discipline and 4 years relevant experience
  • OR Post secondary diploma in a related discipline and 5 years relevant experience or
  • OR 1 year related certificate and 7 years relevant experienc

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex end-to-end solution delivery for end-user computing device systems and their modernization, maintenance and operations
  • Actively maintain recognised expert level knowledge in Omnissa product stack of Workspace One UEM, Tunnel and Intelligence, and Horizon Virtual Desktops and Apps, and End-User device operating systems, primarily Windows, but including iOS, macOS, and Android
  • Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures
  • Act as a specialized resource with deep skills with Application and Desktop Virtualization, and Device Management and Deployment
  • Help build plans to solve larger complex multifaceted enterprise deployments
  • Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services
  • Respond to system malfunctions for end-user computing devices, virtualizations, desktops, and the related management and connection servers, unusual or other situations that impact system performance, performs diagnostics and other problem-solving activities and implements remedial procedures as required
  • Maintain an ongoing awareness and understanding of new and enhanced technological development. Research current available technologies to meet customer needs
