We are looking for an IS Application Manager to join our Motion IS team. In this role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for local applications from both support and development perspectives. You will ensure service quality, align with business needs, and maintain high end-user satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital landscape of ABB’s operations while working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
This role is open globally, but location is set in Poland (Lodz or Krakow) or in Germany (Mannheim or Berlin) or Switzerland (Untersiggenthal).The work model is hybrid #LI-hybrid.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of experience managing applications/services or leading implementation projects/processes.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management concepts (ITIL) and their interconnections.
  • Solid knowledge of business processes and requirements engineering.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills.
  • Technical understanding of application architecture and functionality.
  • Experience translating business requirements into IT system implementations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps services is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the application delivery team, operations, license monitoring, releases, change and vulnerability management and roll-out support, including coordination with external suppliers and service providers.
  • Own the resolution of incidents, changes, or projects that significantly impact the local systems landscape.
  • Ensure application services meet customer needs, following the Service Level Management process framework.
  • Support the creation and execution of the application budget, delivering activities within agreed schedules and costs.
  • Build and maintain the roadmap of the application in collaboration with the application’s owner.
  • Define and lead actions to improve service quality and alignment with business needs, including service review meetings and power user engagement.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to update status, resolve issues, and manage expectations for assigned applications.
  • Identify new opportunities for services and maintain relationships with application vendors and owners.
