REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and six years of experience in the job offered or six years of experience application development.
  • Experience must include three years each of the following: building a system with high-security standards using security protocols OAuth and OIDC or SAML; web application development using .Net, Angular, ngRx, rxjs, Mass Transit, ASB and RabbitMQ; designing and architecting enterprise-scale applications using distributed, micro services, Domain Driven Design (DDD), event-driven, and cloud native architectures; REST and GraphQL using Design Patterns CQRS, Outbox, SAGA, Circuit Breaker, and Mediator. Experience must include two years cloud Azure including Docker and Kubernetes; and one year Generative AI with Open AI and LLM. Experience may be gained concurrently.
Responsibilities
  • Management of technology solutions that are aligned with business needs, reflect best practices, and increase option value for the organization. Make high-level design choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, security, and safety for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms.
  • Determine coding, development tools, validation, and standards compliance requirements. Collaborate with management, product owners, and project managers to evaluate the feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.
  • Perform pathfinding, survey technologies, participate in standards committees and present at external and internal events. Interact with multiple technologists in the company to influence architectures and optimize/customize software offerings.
  • Provide recommendations for software architecture plan and software development standards and best practices. In conjunction with the CIO and IT leadership team, enhance IT best-practices, policies, and methodologies as part of the Bright Horizons IT transformation to a world-class IT organization.
  • Provide technical leadership on design, development, and execution of software solutions. Propose new technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing architectures.
  • Determine scope and provide level of effort estimates for project tasks and related activities and allocate team resources appropriately. Provide technical architecture subject matter expertise and evaluate and test emerging technologies/tools.
  • Conduct and facilitate collaborative data modeling activities among multiple stakeholders.
  • Support business development efforts and hold regular status meetings with project team.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. Position may work remotely.
