Description

CGI is seeking an Application Data Architecture Consultant to contribute to multiple system enhancement projects for a major government client in Montreal.
The selected candidate will participate in drafting the technical sections of business cases related to their field of expertise, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture standards, and will develop physical data models, particularly for Cosmos DB (NoSQL) and Dataverse (Power Platform).

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and model data (relational, multidimensional, and physical) to meet project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain physical data models for Cosmos DB and Dataverse.
  • Design and optimize ETL processes (SSIS or other integration tools).
  • Perform data profiling and quality measurement (SSIS, DQS, or equivalent).
  • Model data flows, data warehouses, and data marts.
  • Collaborate on projects leveraging Microsoft Azure and Power Platform.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.

Requirements
1. Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering).
o For degrees obtained outside Quebec, proof of equivalency issued by MIFI is required.
2. Experience:
o Minimum 10 years in information technology, including at least 6 years as a Data Architecture Consultant (ETL, SSIS, relational/multidimensional/physical modeling).
o Minimum 5 years with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, and data profiling (SSIS, DQS, or equivalent).
o Minimum 4 years in data flow modeling, data warehousing, or data marts.
o Minimum 2 years with Cosmos DB, Dataverse (Power Platform/Dynamics CRM), and Azure Data Factory.
o Proven experience as a Data Architecture Consultant on two (2) large-scale projects (2000 person-days) with a contribution of at least 150 person-days.
