Job Description Job Title: Application Developer – AI & IT Applications Job Location: Chennai, India Join Us! The Application Developer is responsible for designing, building, enhancing, integrating, and supporting applications across Linxon’s engineering, enterprise, SAP ERP, and SaaS application landscape. The role supports new development, enhancements, integrations, migrations, and stabilization, working under Solution Architecture and Product Ownership, aligned to the Build – Run – Own operating model. What will you do? Application Development Design, build, and enhance applications and components across: Enterprise and internal applications Engineering‑related extensions and integrations Microsoft‑based solutions (APIs, services, Power Platform) SAP‑related developments and integrations (where applicable) Write secure, maintainable, and well‑documented code Follow defined development standards and best practices Integration & Interfaces Build and support integrations between: Engineering platforms (Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble) Project Controls systems (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore) Enterprise platforms (Microsoft 365, SAP) Develop APIs, services, and data interfaces Ensure reliability, performance, and error handling SAP & ERP Development Support Contribute to SAP‑related development including: ERP enhancements (where required) Interfaces between SAP and external systems Support ERP transition activities (e.g., Oracle → SAP) Follow SAP and enterprise transport, testing, and release processes Migration & Transformation Support Support application separation and migration using Discover → Separate → Migrate → Stabilize Assist with data migration, changes, and cutovers Support hypercare and post‑migration stabilisation Ensure solutions are production‑ready and supportable Quality, Security & Standards Ensure compliance with: Architecture and design standards Application security and IAM requirements Data protection policies Participate in code reviews, testing, and defect resolution Reduce technical debt and improve code quality Stability & BAU Support Support L2/L3 teams with defect fixes and root‑cause analysis Improve application stability and performance Maintain technical documentation for support and continuity Support upgrades, patches, and controlled releases Experience, Education and other Required: 4–8+ years of application development experience Strong experience in enterprise application development and integrations Experience with Microsoft ecosystem (APIs, Power Platform, or similar) Exposure to SAP development or SAP integration environments Understanding of SaaS, on‑prem, and hybrid landscapes Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills High‑quality, reliable application deliveries Reduced defects and recurring issues Successful migrations with minimal disruption Solutions aligned to architecture and security standards Improved application stability and maintainability What we offer: In return, we offer a wide range of rewards and benefits, 20 days Privilege Leave, 13 days Emergency leave and 14 Public holidays per year Global Career Progression Opportunities Medical Insurance, Life Insurance ED&I: When it comes to diversity and inclusion, we see things differently at Linxon - we encourage applications from people of all races, ages, genders, religions, sexual orientations and more - so whoever you are, we hope you’ll see things our way, too.
