Position Description
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an Application Developer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.
You will be responsible for leveraging deep subject matter knowledge and experience to lead matrixed teams and deliver complex, crosscutting programs. In essence, your responsibilities will include proposing and directing major technology assignments, and coordinating milestones and performance metrics.

This position is located in our USA DC Washington however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Journeyman - 4 years’ direct experience

  • Education: shall possess a Master’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or have Bachelor’s degree related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 2 years of related senior experience, for a total of 14 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree
Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Software Development: Designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications.
  • Collaborative Leader: Facilitates collaboration and shares insight with both Government and contractor personnel.
  • Application Maintenance: Ensuring applications are up-to-date, secure, and running smoothly.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving software issues and bugs.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation for applications. Coordinating milestones and performance metrics.
  • Staying Updated: Keeping up with the latest technologies and trends in application development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Expert Level - 12 years’ direct experience
Senior Level - 8 years’ direct experience
Mid-Level - 6 years’ direct experience

Journeyman - 4 years’ direct experience

o Alternatively, if the labor category performs tasks in an emerging field of practice, the Government may waive the education and experience requirements if the Contractor is able to demonstrate industry-leading skills and accomplishments.

  • Security Clearance: US Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI poly
  • Required: Experience with Node.js with Typescript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch
  • Highly Desired: JSON, Java, Java Script, SharePoint, XML, VBAs, Oracle, MongoDB, Solr, SQL, Open AI, other AI technologies
  • Subject Matter Expert: Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and testing methodologies. Applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Leader: Ability to work independently and lead matrixed teams to deliver complex, crosscutting programs. May supervise others.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $74,600.00 - $235,000.00
