About the client: The client is a Belgian federal public institution responsible for shaping and enforcing economic policy, market regulation, and consumer protection. It plays a central role in ensuring fair competition, transparency, and trust between businesses and consumers at a national level. As part of its modernization strategy, the organization is heavily investing in digital transformation, building platforms that support both regulatory compliance and accessible public-facing services. About the project: The assignment is part of the project “Electronic Payment Comparator”. The goal of this project is to develop a web-based platform for merchants where they can compare different payment solutions in a neutral and independent way. In parallel, a second application will be developed for payment providers, where they are required to input and maintain detailed information about their services. The consultant will be involved in the development of both applications, contributing to a platform that increases transparency in the payment ecosystem and supports better decision-making for businesses. The client is looking for an Application Developer with a focus on fullstack development (Angular + Java). Core requirements Strong experience with: Angular (frontend) Java Spring Boot (backend framework) JavaScript REST APIs Experience working with: Git JIRA UML (basic understanding) Profile expectations Ability to work across frontend and backend development Experience in building web applications Understanding of API-driven architectures Comfortable working in a structured public sector environment Languages French: mandatory (native level) Dutch: active knowledge English: passive understanding Remote / Onsite Not fully confirmed, but expected to be hybrid (±50% onsite / 50% remote) in Brussels
