Job Description Job title - Application Developer Department - Information Technology Reports to IT Development Manager Location - Dongguan - China Job summary Works with business analysts to understand new requirements from the business stakeholders for software solution based on the company ERP platform. Develop solutions to meet the business requirements within the confines of agreed standards. Joins application development meetings on a regular basis. To work within the requirements of the Company's Health and safety, Quality and Environmental management systems. Specific responsibilities Liaise with Business Analysts and End Users to assess and anticipate their requirements, to determine the best solution within the confines of agreed development standards Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages Revise, update, refactor and debug code (.NET and SQL stored procedures) Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) Foster an expertise around the applications developed to provide technical support Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the business and industry to enable best-informed decision making Company requirements With people responsibility: Health & Safety; ensure that safe working practices are followed. Attend safety briefings, as requested. Take responsibility for your own, employees, contractors and visitor safety in accordance with The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulation 1999 Compliance; ensure compliance with business systems, processes, certification schemes, regulations and legislation relevant to the scope of your role. Support internal quality controls and audits to demonstrate compliance. Job holder requirements Requirements A graduate / post-graduate in computer science / engineering or equivalent industry experience Between 3-6 years of experience in .NET application development High level proficiency in .NET programming languages (including C#) Acceptable proficiency in T-SQL and Stored Procedure for MS SQL and Reporting Services Any previous experience with ERP is very beneficial (Syteline 8.0 or 10 / CSI) Experience in PLC connectivity and data acquisition from manufacturing equipment is favourable Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills Self-driven, motivated, result oriented and a willingness to learn new technologies Technical Skills Essential Strong Microsoft based development background (.NET, C#, VB) Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022 or later SQL/T-SQL/Stored Procedures (Microsoft SQL) HTML5, CSS3, XML JSON Infor Syteline 8.0, 10 (CSI) Desirable TFS / Azure DevOps Atlassian Jira CI\CD Company values Leadership – leading by example Purpose – energy and drive Beliefs – integrity and trust Design – problem solving Connections – relationships Growth – continuous improvement Performance – achieve standards Who We Hire?
