Job Description We are seeking a motivated & energetic individual to join our team this Summer as a Programmer Intern! **THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION** Position Objective: To support the Application Development team in the implementation of customer solutions on our internal workflow development platform. Responsibilities: Coding: Under general supervision, develops code, tests, debugs, maintains, modifies, and installs routine to moderately complex programs. Apply structured programming techniques and adhere to coding standards. Testing: Under general supervision, develops test scripts; performs unit, integration, system, regression, and parallel tests; develops system test data and performs system tests. Assists quality assurance testing teams. Analysis/Design: Analyze business requirements for projects of small to medium scope and complexity. Analyze and document test results to ensure that programs are meeting the technical requirements Technical Support: Research and resolve routine to moderately complex programming issues. Documentation: Assist in preparing good internal program documentation for new developments and revisions. Communication: Conveys problems, solutions, updates, and project status to peers, customers, and management Planning: Begins to prepare time estimates for assigned tasks with assistance. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Participate in IT team meetings, providing input and suggestions. Provide support to other employees as required by management. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of this job. Qualifications The intern candidate should be a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering. Applicant must have experience or related coursework in the use of Python and/or Perl. Working knowledge of navigating Unix or Linux operating systems. Additional experience working with data stored in XML and/or json format is preferred. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people. Positive attitude and outstanding customer service. Accuracy and attention to detail. Additional Information The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $24.00 / hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
