POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Application Development Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The overall objective of this role is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Application Development Manager to drive innovation and implementation of GenAI solutions across the enterprise. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of applications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership on LLMs, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and responsible AI practices.
You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases, build proof of concepts and scalable products, and drive adoption of generative AI to solve real-world problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, data science, or AI/ML roles.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically with generative AI or LLMs.
• Strong programming skills in Python, and familiarity with libraries like Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience building applications with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or open-source LLMs.
• Working knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases.
• Experience with Angular, MongoDB, Microservices, etc.
• Understanding of MLOps, model evaluation, prompt tuning, and deployment pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in applications development and management of global technology teams
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field, or equivalent experience
