This position serves as the Application Development Manager for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), supporting the Office of the State Fire Marshall. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, data processing, or telecommunications or directly related information technology fields.
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing, or telecommunications in a public or business organization.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS

  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience coordinating and leading cross-functional application development teams in the design, coding, testing, and deployment of enterprise-level web applications and system integrations using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex cloud-based systems and services using Microsoft Azure for application deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Requires three (3) of professional experience managing end-to-end software development life cycles including project planning, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Requires four (4) years of professional experience with enterprise application development utilizing C#, Visual Studio, .Net, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and Dynamics CRM.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (IN ORDER OF SIGNIFICANCE)

  • Three (3) years of professional experience coordinating and leading cross-functional application development teams in the design, coding, testing, and deployment of enterprise-level web applications and system integrations using Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex cloud-based systems and services using Microsoft Azure for application deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Three (3) of professional experience managing end-to-end software development life cycles including project planning, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and issue resolution.

  • Three (3) years of professional supervisory experience assigning and reviewing work, providing staff training, conducting performance evaluations, and managing personnel resources.
  • Ability to analyze complex operational or procedural problems, exercise sound judgment, and recommend effective technical solutions.
  • Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients and others.
Responsibilities
