JOB DESCRIPTION

This role will combine architecture, software engineering, business analysis, and product management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our custom-built applications, ensuring both technical excellence and alignment with business needs. As the architect and development lead, you will design scalable solutions, oversee the implementation of enhancements, and manage the product lifecycle to ensure our systems are at the forefront of the healthcare industry. This position is bonus eligible.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, application architecture, and product management, preferably in the healthcare or managed care industry.
  • Strong experience with system architecture and design patterns, particularly in the context of scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and technologies relevant to application development (e.g., Java, C#, Python, .NET, SQL, RESTful APIs).
  • Demonstrated experience in product management, including gathering requirements, defining features, and managing product backlogs.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS guidelines) and managed care processes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and related development practices.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with health IT standards (e.g., EDI/X12, HL7, FHIR).
  • Experience with custom-built or legacy applications in a healthcare setting.
