ABOUT THE ROLE

The Applications Engineer (AE) will play a key role providing subject matter expertise for our EUV microscope. We are seeking a self-driven individual who is experienced in electrical and mechanical assemblies, has general knowledge of optical systems, and is a capable troubleshooter of a complex automated machine. This role drives product improvement based on customer and internal input. This position requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with highly technical peers, and the capability to manage workload among changing priorities. Applicants should thrive in a dynamic startup environment and have a troubleshooting mindset: an ability to systematically and effectively break down a system or process into subparts to identify failure mechanisms.

YOUR ROLE

  • Deep Expertise: Develop deep knowledge of EUV Tech’s actinic microscope to handle complex technical issues, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Serve as the main technical resource for Field and internal engineering teams, helping others solve complex problems and providing training on specific product families. Instruct and train FSEs, agents and customers on the operation and maintenance of products.
  • Technical Documentation: Contribute to and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and troubleshooting guides for the product family. Ensure that knowledge is shared with the regional engineers and is up-to-date.
  • Customer Escalations: Handle escalations from the field service engineers when more technical expertise is required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Product Development teams to offer feedback for future product improvements based on field experience and customer requests.
  • Manage customer expectations and requests. Determine specifications of new features and analyze customer requirements to evaluate feasibility.
  • Support manufacturing in building and qualifying new tools.
  • Lead on-site installation and qualification of new tools in the field.
  • Regular communication and interaction with customers.
  • Work in a cleanroom and follow all customer protocols.
  • Work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
  • Perform data analysis.
  • Travel, possibly on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems.
  • Perform control system analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Perform integrated system assembly.
