With a growing product portfolio and customer base, we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic application engineer that will thrive in a busy sales environment. You will be responsible for pre and post sales support of the latest generation of R&S Electronic Warfare and Signals Intelligence Systems. Technology wise you will be focused on the RF spectrum and have strong knowledge in the cellular and non-cellular RF standards such as 5G, 4G and WLAN. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in supporting our sales team in the UK but extend cross border to European and 5 Eyes communities. You must have good interpersonal skills, be comfortable presenting and discussing our solutions, and working as part of a busy sales team.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Wireless Communications
  • Practical experience of using or repairing radio communication and electronic warfare measurement equipment
  • Experience of wireless technologies and applications
  • Knowledge of RF principles of theory, propagation and antennas.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of ESM and ECM systems with a strong understanding of signal processing techniques, modulation, demodulation and FFT.
  • Knowledge of RADAR and communications systems
  • Understanding of 3GPP standards such as 5G and 4G.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on technology, market, competition and customer requirement trends
  • Experience in a technical, high quality and customer service driven sales environment
  • Knowledge and working understanding of software programming for measurement equipment using common tools and languages found in today’s market
  • Proficiency to self-assess and prioritize activities
  • Ability and willingness to travel globally on a regular basis
  • Willingness to work as a team, equally as an individual.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • A desire to build a career in technical sales
  • UK National with UK security clearance – SC minimum. DV preferred.
  • Full and clean driving license
