Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office as Applications Engineer. As an Application Engineer, you are part of the Commercial Operations team located in Etten-Leur - The Netherlands, is assigned to supporting workload from several customers within the Europe/Middle East/Africa territory.
You will be the single point of contact focused on customer satisfaction with regard to on-time-delivery of quotations and reduction of cycle times for order entry for assigned customers in order to help increase the seal/system bookings.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Provide quotations for Seals and Systems at market level pricing in response to RFQ’s in the requested customer time frame.
  • Interpret specifications and data sheets. Understand commercial terms such as special warranty, delivery and payment terms requested by our customer.
  • Create/maintain product standardization including price lists based on pump equipment.
  • Support Sales Engineers to achieve booking target by providing opportunities for monthly forecasting process.
  • When necessary, visit customer facilities together with the responsible Sales Engineer, meeting Customer’s personnel and Purchasing teams to build professional relationships.
  • Interact with cross-functional partners in the Manufacturing Hub to facilitate the quotation and order processes.
  • Complete contract review of purchase order, to facilitate the booking process.
  • Achieve quality order entry ensuring seals and auxiliary product orders are entered cleanly within a clearly specified time frame from receipt/clarification.
  • Effectively utilize the various tools as a basis for creating qualitative quotations.
