Application Engineer Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid) In Office Requirement: 1-2 times per month or as needed Compensation: $67, 832 - $94,212 per year, depending on experience and qualifications Employment Type: Full-Time Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance (required)   What you can expect as the Application Engineer at Fortress…  As an Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering secure, high-impact solutions to some of the world’s most complex supply chain ecosystems. This position combines deep technical expertise with customer engagement, owning the successful implementation, integration, and optimization of Fortress platform solutions. Acting as a key bridge between customers, Product, and Engineering, the Application Engineer translates real-world challenges into scalable solutions, accelerates customer adoption, and directly influences product innovation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and wants to make a measurable impact on both customer outcomes and the evolution of cutting-edge cybersecurity products.     Responsibilities Include:  * Lead implementation and integration of Fortress software solutions within customer environments.   * Translate customer requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions aligned with platform capabilities.   * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues arising during implementation and integration processes.   * Develop and maintain technical documentation to support product implementation, usage, and troubleshooting.   * Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to gather requirements and inform product specifications.   * Contribute to the development and standardization of integration best practices and reusable solution patterns.   * Provide structured feedback to Product Management and Engineering based on customer needs and implementation insights.   * Incorporate AI/ML capabilities (e.g., generative AI, RAG, chatbot frameworks) into workflows to improve automation and insight generation.  * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.    Minimum Qualifications:  * 2-4 years of experience with software development methodologies and practices.  * Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java).  * Familiarity with software development frameworks and tools (e.g., Git, Jira, and Agile).   * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.  * Proven ability to incorporate AI/ML models or autonomous agents (e.g., generative AI, RAG, chatbot frameworks) into integration workflows to automate tasks and provide intelligent insights.  * Strong written and verbal communication skills.  * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.    * Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and technologies.  * Ability to travel to the Orlando headquarters twice a month (or more as requested) * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance (required) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Preferred Skills: * Ability to independently use and refine AI-driven prompts to enhance the quality, efficiency, and insight of regular work processes.  Education:  * BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
