Description
What you´ll do This role will be based in Shanghai-Zhangjiang. Responsible for handling customer application requests. Key activities include analyzing customer needs, collaborating with project teams to identify suitable products, conducting simulation experiments in the lab, and recommending technical solutions supported by solid data. Provide on-site support to resolve customer issues related to tape & glue application, tape converting, etc. Conduct technical customer visits (e.g., technical seminars, product demonstrations, troubleshooting). Leverage customer feedback to enhance service processes, identify new business opportunities with sales colleagues, contribute to new product ideas, and share insights with project teams. Report on quality issues / customer complaints to relevant teams. Enhance customer experience by optimizing automated interactions and improving remote engagement. Identify opportunities to create customer value through remote channels using digital tools. Develop new application test methods based on customer requirements and product development needs. Collaborate with vendors (e.g., equipment suppliers) to develop solutions enhancing adhesive-related processes. Collaborate with the factory quality team for batch data collection of new products and support scale-up. Responsible for delivering product application training and technical knowledge sharing to field sales teams and customers. Responsible for direct communication with Sales, PD, PM and project team members. Develop and maintain technical expertise in R&D innovations. What makes you a good fit Master’s degree or above in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material science, or related field with 3~5 years working experience. Familiar with application work on tape (e.g., PSA, HAF), liquid adhesives and coating, especially within the consumer electronics market. Familiar with flatbed and rotary die cut process, mold design etc. Strong customer communication skills and experience. Collaborative spirit for working with global project teams (US, Germany etc.). Fluent in spoken and written English with strong presentation skills. Basic digital skills will be needed (e.g. CAD, 3D Drawing, Data analysis, Minitab, JMP, 6-Sigma etc.).
