Description
Vertiv is looking for an Application Engineer (Power) to provide pre-sales technical support for data centre critical power infrastructure, including UPS, energy storage systems, power switchgear, distribution systems, and DC power solutions. The role involves interpreting customer requirements, developing technical proposals, bills of materials, and solution designs for tender submissions. It also supports sales and project teams with technical expertise to ensure compliant specifications, successful bids, and smooth project delivery.   Primary Duties and Responsibilities:     * Provide pre-sales consultancy to M&E consultant and customers for Datacenter critical infrastructure with special emphasis on UPS, energy storage system, Power Switch & Distribution, and DC Power System.  * Receive customer inquiries and interpret customer specifications and requirements for technical proposals by generating Bill of Materials, proposal writing and product solutioning for tender submission.  * Responsible to support through technical knowledge of Vertiv Power solution to Sales, Project, Service and Procurement during pre-sales to achieve deep plan and specs, win orders and smooth project delivery. This includes FAT clarification with respective stakeholders to comply with tender specification.  * Liaison with Centralised Technical Support Team, Vertiv factory and product team on technical aspect coordination to provide holistic solution offer based on customer specifications.  * Attend site walk to review and develop project scope, prepare documents for technical proposals and installation to ease contractor bidding when customer specifications are not specified.  * Gather all pertinent information of projects tender.
