Brief Job Description: Join our Application Engineering team to support the design and delivery of innovative thermal solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with Sales to develop technically sound and commercially competitive proposals that address customer requirements. An engineering background and a passion for technical problem-solving are essential; experience in thermal applications and an interest in data center technologies are advantageous. Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: - (This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.) * Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications * Evaluate the best trade-off solution according to customer needs, budget, efficiency and project timeframes * Work closely with Engineering on SFAs linked to thermal products * Development of technically and price competitive cooling solutions working closely with colleagues and/or external partners when needed. * Provide support on hydronics, especially on projects where there's a coexistence of high density products together with chillers and other CW units. * Provide Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes and tenders * Provide Sales with pre-sales technical support when attending technical meeting, aiming to become a reference point in EMEA, being able to explain the whole thermal chain, from servers till heat rejection/heat recovery. * Create and review application based documentation (drawings, specifications, electrical layout, presentations) enabling AE colleagues and Sales to secure the business * Share ideas and detailed design proposals to Product Management and Engineering teams for product improvement/development by applying a continuous improvement mindset. * Provide product and application based training to the EMEA AE community and Sales to strengthen the know-how across the Vertiv's group * Support WT activities and factory visits when needed. * Attend in person meeting with clients when necessary supporting colleagues and Sales. * Support that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself Qualifications: Required/ Minimum Qualifications: * School Background: engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience * Professional experience within the Datacenter industry with focus on High Density applications * Excellent know-how of Data Center High Density trends, applications and related thermal * management complexities * Excellent know-how of Uptime Insititute Tier levels and related Thermal Management * infrastructure design * Language skills: fluent English written and verbal required * Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation Additional / Preferred Qualifications: * High focus on customer needs * Open minded * Experience in quoting/proposing/ managing projects * Organized, self-motivated and proactive * Able to combine long term and short-term goals by setting priorities with high level directions * Organizational skills and familiar with a decentralized environment but at the same time able to work in a team * Ability to interact with all levels within the organization from entry level to executive * the Fly, Integrity and Trust, Working in Teams, Communicate Effectively, Work/Life Balance.
