Description

Keywave Technology is seeking an Application Field Engineer with strong technical expertise in RF systems, IC chip integration, and embedded systems to support our customers in the successful evaluation, design-in, and deployment of our products. The role involves technical support, application testing, on-site/remote troubleshooting, and close collaboration with both customers and our R&D team.
This position requires hands-on hardware/software skills and the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in RF systems, IC applications, or embedded hardware/software integration (fresh graduates with strong project experience may be considered).
  • Proficiency in RF test equipment (e.g., network analyzer, spectrum analyzer) and signal analysis.
  • Familiarity with I2C/SPI interfaces, microcontroller systems, and PCB-level debugging.
  • Basic programming knowledge in C/C++ or Python for test automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site support and exhibitions.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of RF front-end design and antenna systems.
  • Experience working with foundry-made IC prototypes and providing feedback to design teams.
  • Bonus: Experience with SDR platforms (e.g., GNU Radio, SDRSharp).

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with customers to evaluate and integrate Keywave’s IC products (RF sensors, TV/SDR tuners) into their systems.
  • Conduct system-level testing and validation at customer sites or remotely.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including setup, configuration, and performance tuning.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, application notes, and reference designs.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues, working closely with the R&D team to identify solutions.
  • Support product demonstrations for exhibitions, trade shows, and customer presentations.
  • Collect customer feedback to help refine product features and performance.
