Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in modernizing applications, including migrating workloads from traditional virtual machines to containerized environments and cloud platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least a strong focus on cloud-native or DevOps environments
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based platforms (OpenShift, AKS, or GKE)
  • 3+ years working in data analytics to support application right-sizing, blueprint creation, and optimization of deployment pattern

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Looker, Power BI).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

Wells Fargo is seeking an Application Modernization Analyst with deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, developer experience, and infrastructure automation. This role will drive strategic insights and data-driven decision-making across our engineering platforms, with a focus on optimizing Kubernetes environments, streamlining developer workflows, and enhancing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze performance, usage, and reliability metrics across Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to developer workflows and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering teams to understand developer pain points.
  • Design and maintain dashboards that track developer productivity, deployment frequency, and system health.
  • Evaluate and improve IaC practices using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Helm.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Define and implement data collection strategies across cloud-native environments.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with internal governance policies.
  • Partner with DevOps, SRE, and software engineering teams to align data initiatives with platform goals.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and influence strategic decisions.
