About the role As a Application Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in growing market share, introducing new products, and strengthening customer relationships. This role will be based in Indonesia, Thailand or Vietnam, and report to Country Manager in SEAO markets (Southeast Asian Ocean). Key responsibilities Pre-sales activities include analyzing customer’s technical needs and suggesting solutions. Explore, identify and develop new application areas as well as developing existing areas. Post-sales activities include resolving implementation problems and conducting training. Analyze customers’ technical needs, develop proposals outlining how the organization’s products and services can meet these needs and be integrated with the customer's existing systems and equipment. Respond to more complex technical questions regarding the organization’s product, system or service. Develop and deliver training to educate internal and external partners and customers on the features of their purchase. Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation. Develop test applications used for testing modules, including customer-specific components. Liaise with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure that products and services are modified, configured, and installed per customer needs. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in the cutting tool, metalworking, machinery, or similar industry. Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical drawings. A thorough understanding of metal cutting operations on machine tools is required. Collaboration and Communication: Excellent team player with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional customers, including engineering and production Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with small and large groups. Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office,CAD,CAM, with experience in CRM software preferred. Language Skills: Fluent in English, both orally and in writing, with excellent communication skills.
