Description
Wellington/Auckland based opportunity Banking benefits, health insurance, flexible working options and more (parental benefits, wellbeing days of leave, etc.) Join our growing Digital & Technology Team! Kō tātou tēnei. Hei kawe i ngā mahi kia tutuki | This is us. Where making an impact matters. We’re seeking an Application Specialist to join Kiwibank’s ServiceNow Foundations Squad, supporting the Product Team to deliver consistent, scalable value across the bank. You’ll support and enhance core ServiceNow capabilities including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB and Enterprise Architecture, help simplify the platform through greater use of out‑of‑the‑box functionality, and reduce customisation in line with ServiceNow standards and best practice. Working from a prioritised backlog, you’ll balance new value delivery with platform stewardship, contributing to a reliable, mature and customer‑focused ServiceNow experience. Key role responsibilities: Work closely with the squad and internal partners to understand needs and guide stakeholders toward standard platform capability where it delivers the best long‑term value. Configure and enhance ServiceNow modules in line with product and platform best practice, with a strong preference for out‑of‑the‑box functionality. Contribute to backlog delivery across new initiatives and ongoing platform stewardship, ensuring work is well understood and improves the overall product experience. Own agreed stewardship responsibilities, including BAU tasks, incident investigation, and proactive platform care. Support catalogue requests, participate in releases, and ensure changes are delivered safely and sustainably. Maintain documentation and contribute to shared squad knowledge. Ko tātou tēnei. Kia hāpai i ō pūkenga | This is us. Where your expertise matters. Key skills and experience we’re looking for: You have hands-on experience within areas of the ServiceNow product, such as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Configuration management database (CMDB), or Enterprise Architecture (EA) and you understand how these modules work together to deliver an integrated experience. You are a strong problem solver who can troubleshoot issues, assess product impacts and make pragmatic decisions that deliver real value, not just technically correct outcomes. You are comfortable supporting functional testing and working closely with business partners through user acceptance testing to get changes safely into production. You can assess platform and system releases with a product mindset, understand flow on impacts across integrations, and factor this into your day-to-day work. Experience working in a regulated environment, such as banking or financial services, is beneficial but not essential. Ko tātou tēnei - Hei hāpai i a koe, me tō whānau |This is us.
