Responsibilities Company Overview Ascension Clinical Analytics and Registry Services (ACARS) - formerly Navion Healthcare Solutions, a division of Ascension Health, provides healthcare data management solutions to Ascension Ministries supporting improvement of patient outcomes. ACARS’ software and healthcare analytics tools enable leadership to monitor and improve clinical outcomes through capturing and reporting critical clinical data and key performance indicators. ACARS offers a range of healthcare quality services from web-based clinical registry software and reporting tools to data capture services for hospitals throughout the country. Job Description The Application Support Analyst will work closely with the business clients and ACARS application teams to identify and document application issues as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues where possible. Troubleshooting will include limited SQL queries and data analysis to assess issue scope and probable root cause. In some cases, the Application Support Analyst will make system configuration changes or write SQL statements to apply the registry specifications directly within ACARS software products. The incumbent will also work with the Navion Software Team to help define and execute Navion’s application testing and validation as well as participate in quality assurance/testing activities as part of the production release processes. The incumbent will need to learn and understand the technical complexities of the Ncompass system, apply their knowledge to the client situation, and directly engage ACARS software engineers to bridge the functional to technical design as well as test the final end-user solution. Innovative thinking and a keen understanding of business and user experience requirements will be applied with the goal of optimizing system efficiency and enhancing ACARS products. This role is best suited for candidates with a background in QA and application support. Job Responsibilities: Using incident and feature tracking system, create tickets that document user issues and requests. Resolve Tier 1 issues independently. Document Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues. Troubleshooting will include limited SQL queries, an understanding of secure FTP, a variety of file formats to evaluate and troubleshoot issues. Monitor system interfaces, assess data discrepancies, identify root cause and problem resolution. Participate in QA activity - develop test plans, create test cases, execute testing, and ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives. Assist in defining new and enhancing existing test processes, plans and scripts. Document test results and create and manage defects in defect tracking application. Write user documentation, release notes, training materials, and document solutions in a knowledge base. Provide training and user support to business clients. Preferred Experiences: Bachelor degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred. 1+ years’ experience as Business Analyst or Systems Analyst. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Familiarity with web-based application development technologies such as .NET, XML, and SQL. SQL development experience preferred. Experience testing web applications as well as managing other testing resources. Experience testing data migration and validation. Experience with SQL programming. Experience creating test plans, writing test scripts and executing the tests scripts for System and User Acceptance Testing for a web-based application. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong team orientation with excellent interpersonal skills working with internal team members as well as client hospital staff. Excellent organizational, project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills Requirements Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
