SENIOR APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST (AZURE DEVOPS PLATFORM)

On behalf of our public sector client, we are looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst. This is 11-month contract plus extension.
Secret level of Security Clearance is required. Hybrid role in Ottawa.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In addition to the gathering, analysis, and documentation of stakeholder requirements for Azure DevOps, this resource will provide additional support to EHRP staff and DND security teams through collaboration, providing expertise, technical documentation creation, and aiding business owners to help meet support targets and project deliverables.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, develop and document business and system operational requirements.
• Translate business operational needs into system functional requirements.
• Work with developers, technical architects, system engineers and other stakeholders in building Azure DevOps platform solutions.
• Perform research and information gathering in conjunction with the Technical Authority (TA) and other resources in the development of short-, medium-, and long-term release plans.
• Assist in the development of human and technical resources cost estimates and project timelines.
• Develop workflow templates based on work process mapping.
• Advise the EHRP Requirements Manager, PMO and ISS Lead and provide recommendations on a range of issues affecting the EHPR Azure DevOps ability to achieve EHRP Project Management business objectives.
• Provide information and recommendations in analyzing, evaluating, and controlling risks.
• Provide status reports on assigned work activities.
• Support other team members in the production of documentation needed to move forward with the security accreditation and functional implementation of EHRP as a systemExamples of these are the following:
• Business and Security concept of operations (ConOps),
• Data model documentation,
• DND Architecture Framework (DNDAF) diagrams,
• CRUD matrices documentation,
• Technical and/or audit reports requested by the clients,
• Account and data safeguard documentation,
• System design specification documentation,
• System implementation plans documentation.
• Standard operating procedures
• Functional testing criteria and reports
• Perform other tasks related to this labour category.
• Perform transfer of technical knowledge to DND personnel or other contracted resources for the purposes of ensuring that support to the application is uninterrupted and critical knowledge gaps do not occur even when the contract period ends.
• Serving as a user support liaison between vendors, information systems technicians, and end-user departments
• Providing training expertise and direction in the area of emerging technology and special application support
• Recommending and implementing complex security requirements
• Collecting, organizing and maintaining a problems and solutions log for use by others
• Verifying accuracy and completeness of work performed
• Designing, configuring and deploying server-based file systems and applications
• Recommending new products or processes which support and enhance the user groups business activities
• Planning or participating in the implementation of a department wide system upgrades

Must Have:

• Must have 5 years of experience in application support, gathering, analyzing and documenting stakeholder requirements, as well as supporting solution development for the Azure DevOps enterprise Application Platform
• Must have 5 years of experience interacting with a community of enterprise application users, business leaders and other stakeholders to produce and maintain an assortment of documents such as:
• Business Requirements Document (BRD)
• Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS)
• System Design Documents (SDD)
• Use Case Documents
• Impact Analysis Report
• Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) Reports
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans and,
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plans
